As a Software Developer Intern at Algorithmic Intel Matrix (AIM), you will immerse yourself in a dynamic and innovative environment. You’ll have the opportunity to work on projects, contribute to the development of scalable and high-performance systems, and collaborate with a team of talented professionals. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience and foster growth, allowing you to experiment with new technologies and frameworks while playing a crucial part in our tech-driven initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Development Tasks & Experimentation: Engage in development tasks within small agile teams and conduct experimentation on our tech stack. We perform several rollouts daily, are data-driven, and conduct extensive A/B testing.
- Learning & Development: As an intern, you will be given ample time to learn new technologies and frameworks. You will contribute to the development, performance, and scaling of new products and internal systems, utilising technologies.
- Punctuality & Performance: Maintain punctuality and be present during office hours. Your performance will be assessed based on the accuracy of your estimates and the completeness of your tasks.
Important Aspects of the Job:
- System Development: Rapidly develop next-generation scalable, flexible, and high-performance systems.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve issues with the site and internal systems, prioritizing based on consumer impact.
- Collaboration: Work closely with your team, business team, and product owners to deliver solutions.
- Complex Problem Solving: Tackle complex problems that may involve interactions between multiple systems, rather than just software-related issues.
- Full Stack Understanding: Grasp the entire stack, from the low-level bits traversing the wire to various communication protocols up to the application layer. Our stack involves multiple languages and platforms.
- Proactive Problem Solving: We seek hustlers who are enthusiastic problem-solvers, initiate solutions and discussions, and believe any challenge can be overcome with the right mindset and tools.
Skillset:
- Education: Preferably in the final year of college or recently graduated with a B.Tech/B.E. degree in Computer Science, BCA or MCA with demonstrable development experience in more than one programming language.
- Experience with Node.js, Advanced JavaScript, Python and Java.
- Familiarity with databases like MySQL and MongoDB.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services.
- Communication: Comfortable working in English, both written and spoken.
- Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in small teams.
