Role: We are looking for a Frontend Engineer who can design and develop frontend experiences on our product and website. The ideal candidate takes pride in writing clean, efficient code and ships high-quality software in production.

You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and aren’t deterred with unknowns. You’d work closely with a cross functional team of product, design, backend engineers – opportunity to work on complex technical challenges and contribute to the growth of Scalekit.

To be successful in this role, you should have proficiency on the core web technologies such as Javascript, HTML, CSS, and responsive web applications. You should have experience executing several production projects from conception to production, including web applications and websites.

Responsibilities:

• Design and enhance user experiences for our web application. Work closely with PMs, UX designers and engineering teams to develop frontend capabilities from concept to release
• Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality frontend code
• Debug and fix production issues, lead blameless retrospectives

Apply if you are:

• Proficient in Javascript, React.js, HTML, CSS with a passion for creating visually appealing user interfaces
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with limited supervision, and navigate through ambiguity and uncertainty
• You are a quick learner and prefer picking up tools & languages as needed for solving the problem at hand in the best way possible

Prior Experience needed:

• 2-4 years of frontend application development experience. Prior experience in developing responsive web applications, writing unit and integration tests
• Proficiency in core web technologies: Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience in at least one modern UI framework such as ReactJS, AngularJS
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming
• Prior experience of working with design tools such as Figma, Illustrator
• Knowledge of testing best practices and understanding of CI/CD
